Actor Akshay Kumar, who recently won a National award for his film Rustom and Airlift from President Pranab Mukherjee, is now gearing up to promote his upcoming film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Since the film is on the sidelines of PM Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the award-winning actor met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the capital on Tuesday.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh and starring Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar, the film is a satirical comedy which talks about improving the sanitation conditions in India. It also emphasizes on reduction of open defecation in public places, especially in rural areas of India.
The actor had tweeted the poster of the film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha on 30 March.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha releases on 11 August.
