1. Akshay Highlights Chandigarh Stalking Case For Women’s Safety
Akshay Kumar, who has been doing the rounds to promote his film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, specially mentioned the Chandigarh stalking incident to highlight the need for women to empower themselves.
On Sunday, Akshay and his co-star Bhumi Pednekar attended the graduation ceremony of a women’s self-defence workshop in Mumbai. The actor read out a specific portion of Varnika Kundu’s blog in which she had written about being stalked by BJP chief Subhash Barala's son Vikas Barala and his friend Ashish Kumar.
2. ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ Fails to Pick Up at the Box-Office
Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma-starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal has had a pretty dull first weekend. The domestic box-office collections of this Imtiaz Ali film could not cross the Rs 50 crore mark in 3 days, which is rather surprising for a Shah Rukh Khan film.
The film opened to a lukewarm response on Friday collecting Rs 15.25 crore. It was expected to pick up on Saturday, but instead the earnings took a slight dip registering only Rs 15 crore. On Sunday again there was no jump in collections as the film managed to rake in only Rs 15.50 crore taking its weekend collections to Rs 45.75 crore.

The trailer of Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming action flick Baadshaho is out and by the look of it, here’s a potboiler at hand. A drama set during the Emergency era in 1975, it revolves around six people who plan a daring heist. Throw in a lot of puns on sona, dusty desert trails, raj gharanas, six packs, hard punches, flying cars, and of course, intense ishq, and... you get the idea.
5. Cute Alert! Karan Johar Shares Picture of His Twins
Filmmaker Karan Johar chose the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan to reveal his twins Roohi and Yash to the world. He took to Instagram to share a picture of the babies with his mother Hiroo Johar. The children are now six months old.
