1. Aishwarya Rai to Relive Her 2002 Cannes Moment With ‘Devdas’
It’s the 70th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival this year and its official beauty partner L’Oréal Paris is celebrating it in a unique way. At the festival, the Outdoor Cinema will showcase films selected and introduced by six L’Oréal Paris actress ambassadors. And Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would present Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas.
She would in fact be reliving her first Cannes appearance. She had turned heads with SRK as they arrived in a chariot back in 2002, along with Bhansali, to showcase Devdas.
2. ‘Baahubali 2’ All Set to Start the Rs 400-Crore Club in Bollywood
Baahubali 2 is the new juggernaut in town. The Rajamouli film, starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, is quite literally minting money at the box office, toppling innumerable records on the way. The Hindi version alone has already collected Rs 390.25 crore in two weeks - a first. And by the looks of it, it will have no trouble entering an all-new Rs 400-crore club. 3. Dressed Up in His ‘Sarkar 3’ Costume, Fans Chant ‘Jai Sri Amitabh’
Fans of Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan from All Bengal Amitabh Bachchan Fans Association (ABFA) don attire akin to their star’s Sarkar 3 character.
Clad in long black robes, ABFA members worship the sculpture of Bachchan, praying for the success of his new release in Kolkata.
4. Kangana, Sidharth & Sonakshi at ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ Screening
Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurana’s film, Meri Pyaari Bindu is all set to hit theatres on Friday. A special screening was held on Thursday evening which was attended by Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut among others.

5. No Price Cap on Weekend Movie Tickets, Rules Karnataka HC
In a major relief to movie theatres in the state, the Karnataka High Court has said that cap on price of movie tickets will not be applicable during weekends and state holidays.
On Thursday, the HC heard a writ petition filed by Multiplex Association of India (MAI) on 9 May. The court has given four-weeks' time to the state government to file a counter.
