Aamir Khan flew back to Mumbai to celebrate his birthday with his wife, Kiran Rao. She met the actor at the airport and they together held a press conference to celebrate his big day with the media.

At the press conference, Aamir spoke about the first person who wished him this year, Amitabh Bachchan. Speaking about his health, the actor said that Big B is doing action scenes after a long time in Thugs of Hindostan. But the actor is certainly coping well to the pressures of the job.

Speaking about competing with his peers, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir had the perfect response. According to the actor, there is no competition and the three stars are all happy doing their own work.

Superstar Aamir Khan, who turned 53 has also decided to expand his digital imprints on his birthday by making his debut on Instagram.

Aamir already enjoys a huge social media following on Twitter and Facebook, and is looking to extend this via an Instagram account.

He currently has a social media reach of more than 37 million users, and through photo-sharing platform Instagram, Aamir will keep fans abreast about his life and projects, said a statement.

His co-stars, Katrina Kaif took to social media to wish the actor. Kat shared a short video of a dance routine featuring her with Aamir, probably for Thugs itself, with an adorable message for Mr Perfectionist. Katrina and Aamir have earlier worked together Dhoom 3.

Katrina wrote: “Happy happpyyy birthday to you @_aamirkhan ….. ⭐ dancing into the year like ..... 🕺💃 here’s to many more dances together , hanging off straps , hoops etc Oh ...and welcome to Instagram”. Aamir, incidentally joined the social media site on 14 March.
