Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan still fascinate us with their onscreen chemistry. Though we haven’t seen them together in a film for quite some time now, but they oblige TV commercials every now and then. Big B recently shared pictures of him and his wife on the sets of an ad shoot, in which they’re adorn two different avatars, that of a traditional Marwari and Bengali couple. 

While Mr Bachchan seems to be playing the mooch twisting and overpowering patriarch, Jaya looks on at him with a coy smile of a housewife. 

It has to be said, Amitabh Bachchan looks so very handsome with that regal moustache. And Jaya Bachchan stands beside him with a ghunghat on her head.

The Bengali Avatar

This is an avatar that we can relate to, given that Jaya Bachchan is a Bengali. Naturally, she looks very convincing. Mr Bachchan loses the moustache and brings back his french beard.

While it isn’t clear what brand this power couple is filming for, but once can guess that it might have something to do with traditional jewellery. The Bachchans have been ambassadors for a major jewellery brand in the past, and this commercial might be on the same lines. But given that Mr Bachchan can literally sell anything from agarbattis to diamond necklaces, your guess is as good as ours.
