So you think Karan Johar’s the new bad boy of B-town? Well, you probably didn’t realise that he’s always been quite wicked, in his talk-show host avatar of course! We’ve loved this director turned actor for his films, but more so for his popular celebrity talk-show. And Johar loves being the bad boy on the show, especially during those dreaded rapid fire rounds. While his celebrity guests fight over the famous coffee hamper, Johar brings out their most politically incorrect side, in his oh! so subtle ways.
To refresh your memory, here are some of Mr. Khambata’s bitchy-funny-controversial-male diva moments from his talk show, Koffee with Karan.
Oops!! Salman didn’t see that one coming. But thanks to KJo, we saw Salman Khan blushing for the first and only time on TV!
To everyone’s surprise, Kareena Kapoor referred to Katrina Kaif as Ranbir Kapoor’s future wife on this episode! While Ranbir’s look said “Gayi bhains pani mein”, Johar’s expression was epic! Looked like he couldn’t stop smiling, thinking of the TRPs this episode was going to rake in.
This episode brought Anushka Sharma’s new lips into the limelight. Though the conversation here involved the infamous Kamaal R Khan, Johar cleverly turned it towards Anushka’s controversial lip enhancement.
It was Johar’s rapid fire round that started the Alia Bhatt is So Dumb That... jokes. And they haven’t stopped coming. This one was such a good laugh! Since she got the name of India’s president wrong on this episode, insanely funny jokes followed, like- “Alia Bhatt is so dumb that she thought India’s national animal is Tiger Shroff.” Thank you KJo, we haven’t stopped laughing since!
And of course, Johar was the one to fuel Sonam Kapoor’s rant against Deepika Padukone in this unforgettable episode of Koffee With Karan. Johar had in an earlier episode, poked the then BFFs Sonam and Deepika to take a collective dig at Ranbir Kapoor.
For all that he pokes out of his celebrity guests, he makes for the ultimate villain, doesn’t he? He’s no ordinary black hat, Johar’s the BAAP of bad boys.
