It took all the 22 Avengers to make it happen, but Avengers: Infinity War has shattered all previous records held by Hollywood films at the Indian box office.

As per reports, the film earned over Rs 30 crore at the Indian box office on its opening day and the collection stands at about Rs 80 crore on day 2. This also makes it 2018's biggest opening days for a Hollywood film in India. According to Box Office India, even Baahubali: The Conclusion has been left behind.

The occupancy on day one is higher than ‘Bahubali - The Conclusion’ and we probably have to go back to ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ in 2003 when a film had such high occupancy on day one.

Incidentally, Bahubali: The Conclusion had released on the last Friday of April (2017), just as Avengers: Infinity War released on the last Friday of April (2018).

Avengers: Infinity War brings together 22 superheroes including Iron Man, Thor and The Hulk against one super villain, Thanos.
