Warrant Issued Against Rakhi Sawant Again, For Comments on Valmiki

Rakhi Sawant’s remarks about sage Valmiki have enraged the community who issued the arrest warrant.

Rakhi Sawant is under the scanner once again for her controversial remark about sage Valimiki, who wrote Ramayana.

According to ANI, a Ludhiana court issued a non-bailable warrant for the second time against Sawant for making derogatory remarks on Valmiki.

A warrant was issued against the actor earlier on 9 March when she failed to appear.

Talking about the issue, the actor said that people were unnecessarily dragging her into this controversy.

I think people are forcefully dragging me under bad light to ruin my career. I did not say anything wrong to hurt anyone’s sentiment. Even then, I made an apology video and uploaded it online. I am as fearless as the Rani of Jhansi and I will fight against all those people who are dragging me in controversy.

According to reports, Rakhi had compared sage Valmiki to singer Mika Singh. This enraged the Valmiki community who launched a protest in Ludhiana against the actor.

The actor, conveyed her apology in an interview and said,

Through ANI, I want to apologise to all the Valmiki community brothers and sisters, if I have hurt their sentiment. But this wasn’t my intention.
