1. Will Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Shoebite’ See the Light of Day?

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has made an impassioned plea on social media for his unreleased film Shoebite. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film embroiled in a legal battle between production houses, is about an old man’s journey of self-discovery.

Another formidable name attached with the film is that of Gulzaar, who has penned the lyrics.

In a recent interview with indianexpress.com, Shoojit Sircar admitted that he would do anything to have his second film Shoebite released on the big screen. He went on to say that he is even ready to sell his house.

2. In Pics: Salman, Katrina & the Da-Bangg Squad Turn on the Swag

3. Arijit Singh Floored the Audience With Salman’s ‘Dil Diya Gallan’

Arijit Singh serenaded the audience with his performance at a live concert in Mumbai. The indelible moment of the event for the patrons was when he crooned a song from Salman Khan’s film, Tiger Zinda Hai. His feud with Khan is infamous, when the latter unceremoniously dropped Arijit’s song from Sultan.

Singh had crooned the same song for the film but Salman reportedly chose Atif Aslam over him.

5. Google Pays a Tribute to Farooque Shaikh on His Birth Anniversary

25 March marks the 70th birth anniversary of Farooque Shaikh, the flag-bearer of the middle-of-the-road cinema of the 70s and 80s. Google remembered the late actor with a quintessential doodle.

Shaikh made a mark with films like Chashme Baddoor, Noorie, Shatranj Ke Khiladi and Umrao Jaan.

His on-screen pairing with Deepti Naval is the stuff of some of the most memorable cinematic moments.
