Bigg Boss season nine is just around the corner and even though a lot might have changed in terms of this year’s contestants and challenges, what definitely hasn’t changed is our reaction to the list of Bigg Boss contestants. Just like the last eight seasons, this time too, we’re clueless about who these people are and why they were chosen to be inside the bitchiest house on the planet?
Who better to hit the nail on its head than All India Bakchod? This gang of four stand up comedians are notoriously known as AIB and this time, they’ve come up with a pie chart to prove their point. Hmm, nerdy!
When the list of contestants finally comes out each season, our reactions range from ‘Yeh abhi bhi zinda hai’! to ‘yeh hai kaun?’ and ‘isko maine pehle kahin dekha hai’. Well, what do they expect if each contestant is more of a ‘wannabe nobody’ than the other. Bigg Boss has become a talent hunt platform of sorts. Newcomers and strugglers probably think ‘why go through a casting agent, when you can bitch and yell your way to fame on national television?’ Fair enough. It does feed into our voyeuristic needs and keeps us gossiping about who slapped who, who kissed who and who made out with who, in the Bigg Boss house.
Salman is literally the only one we know on the show. This year’s contestants apparently include adult actress Mia Khalifa and TV actor Sunil Grover (better known as Gutthi from Comedy Nights With Kapil). We’ve never even heard of the rest of them, so we’ll just have to wait and watch.
AIB’s pie chart is pretty epic. No wonder it already has over 30,000 likes and has been shared close to 1,800 times, within a day of having been shared via AIB’s Facebook page. Maybe next season, the makers of Bigg Boss should try to get one or more of the AIB guys to be on the show. Tab aayega mazaa!
