The latest on the list is Charlie Sheen’s admission that he was diagnosed as HIV-positive about four years ago, and that a few people who knew about it demanded money from him to keep it a secret. “I’m here to admit that I am in fact HIV-positive,” Sheen told NBC’s Matt Lauer. His face, voice and moves made millions of girls around the globe go weak in the knees, so it was heartbreaking when Ricky Martin confessed to the world that he was gay. Before Martin came out in 2010, he spent 11 years of his life besieged by gay rumours. The Puerto Rican singer was linked with TV host Rebecca de Alba as well as his ‘Nobody Wants To Be Lonely’ duet partner Christina Aguilera. In a 2000 interview with the British tabloid The Mirror, he said: “I don’t think I should have to tell anyone if I am gay or not, or who I’ve slept with or not,” but in 2010, he finally admitted who he is. In a post on his official website, he said: “I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.”

Oprah Talks About Being a Survivor of Child Sexual Abuse

In 1986, while hosting a show with survivors of child sexual abuse and their molesters, Oprah revealed that she too was molested by her cousin, uncle, and a family friend, when she was 9-years-old. Winfrey also stated that when she discussed the abuse with her family at the age of 24, they refused to believe her.
