The entire Bollywood frat knows how eager Karan Johar is to get Salman Khan to do a film for him.
Bizarrely, nothing between Karan and Salman seems to work out. They were supposed to collaborate on a big-budget period film Shuddhi to be directed by Karan Malhotra. Salman reportedly kept Karan hanging on for nearly a year before saying no.
More recently, Salman and Karan Johar were to collaborate on another historical The Battle Of Saragarhi as co-producers. That too has been now put on the back burner.
However, according to sources, Salman will finally be stepping into a Dharma production soon. Karan will reportedly be co-producer for the film in which Salman’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma makes his debut, and Salman is likely to make an appearance in it.
The proposed project that is to take off by the year-end will have a A-list leading lady opposite Aayush. It was reported that Salman’s buddy Katrina Kaif might fill in the heroine’s space with Aayush, but sources close to the project refute this rumour.
“Katrina won’t suit Aayush. Salman Bhai is looking at a younger face opposite Aayush,” says the source.
Will Karan rope in Alia Bhatt? Watch this space.
