Taking a dig at the CBFC head Pahlaj Nihalani for his unreasonable cuts and censoring habits, Ratna Pathak Shah and Konkana Sen Sharma from the Lipstick Under My Burkha (LUMB) gang team up with comedian Mallika Dua to set the record straight.
In the video, Shah and Sharma approach Dua’s ‘Behuda Bibi Byooro’ for suitable grooms, where they reject a slew of perfectly eligible men — including a super-fit Milind Soman, teenage hearthrob Justin Bieber and family man Akshay Kumar.
Finally, just as Ratna Pathak and and Konkona are about to leave unhappy having rejected hundreds of men, Behuda Bibi stops them to pull out her last card — and who is it but for Pahlaj Nihalani? The three women pounce on the poster fighting their claim over the industry’s ‘most eligible bachelor’.
Dua’s Behuda Bibi is an obvious extension of her Tinder Aunty character from AIB’s video ‘If Apps were People’.
Pahlaj Nihalani and the LUMB team were at loggerheads earlier this year when the CBFC refused to certify the film claiming:
The story is lady oriented, their fantasy above life. There are contagious [sic] sexual scenes, abusive words, audio pornography and a bit sensitive touch about one particular section of society.
The film is slated for release on 21 July.
