2016 took a lot of stars from us. One of them was the non-conformist genius Prince, who got the most befitting tribute at the 59th Grammys from Bruno Mars.

Mars performed Prince’s 'Let’s Go Crazy' and 'Jungle Love' during the awards show, but he owned the stage with a guitar solo he delivered.

The Time, a group Prince closely collaborated with in the 80s, performed with Mars. It had also appeared with the late pop star in his 1980s cult film Purple Rain.

Dressed in the late singer’s trademark purple suit and with kohl in his eyes, Mars did justice in his tribute to Prince.

During the performance, the famous “Love symbol” – which Prince adopted as his name till 2000 – glowed on Mars’ back.

Someone else who paid a little tribute to the late star was Beyonce and Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who wore a pink suit in the same style, with a cravat and ruffles.
