Marathi film, Baghtos Kay... Mujra Kar! is putting the entire debate about the giant Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue being erected in the Arabian Sea into perspective. It addresses the issue of the conservation of Shivaji’s forts in Maharashtra versus the statue to commemorate the warrior. It will cost the Maharashtra government an estimated 3600 crores to erect the statue off the coast of Mumbai.
Many have decried the move and want to know why the government is not spending the same money in conserving Shivaji’s forts instead. Jeetendra Joshi, who plays the lead in the film, asks the same in the film.
