Wild and Graceless: Karan’s Ranbir-Ranveer Koffee Brew Was a Riot

The duo spoke about love, sex, padded underwear and made out with a surprise guest.

Koffee with Karan aired its pièce de résistance for season 5, Johar sipped his Bollywood brew with the “dynamic duo” who are may be separated by a letter but are united by Deepika Padukone.

Yes, that graceful and poised sentence is the diametric opposite of how the show was, but then that is what Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh promised right from the start of the episode.

Ranbir was a little lovelorn as was evident from his answers and Ranveer was, as usual, supercharged, making one wonder if his coffee was laced with too much sugar or some other white powders. But the entire episode was a riot and this is what happened, ICYMI.

(Elegant) Elephant in the Room?

Making an inelegant jab at Karan’s weight when he asked about the elephant in the room (Deepika Padukone), Ranbir only had nice things to say about her and Ranveer Singh.

Kapoor went on to say that the elephant does not exist, and he thinks Padukone and Singh compliment each other’s energies so much so that they are perfect together.

Was the Underwear Padded?

Clearly, the nation wanted to know if Ranveer padded his underwear in Befikre, and it could have been the sole reason most men and women tuned into the show tonight.

And the answer is? YES!

But in his defence, Paris is a cold country and he only padded his underwear to err.. keep the flavour of his chilli intact?

Ranbir, Time to Get New Jokes

True, Ranbir is a romantic-comedy actor but his jokes on the show were very two-thousand-and-late.

Wanting space in relationships and working at NASA was a meme that surfaced and died somewhere around the time Kapoor’s career was spiralling downward.

Now that he’s got a streak moving up, we can only hope his humour adopts the same trajectory.

Kissing for Blasphemy

Karan introduced a new segment knowing the colourful lives both Kapoor and Singh lead, which involved them kissing Arjun Kapoor for every blasphemous situation they agreed to have been in.

Who slept with a friend’s ex? Who’s been a part of the mile high club? Who is on Tinder? Who dug their nose in public?

Sleeping Naked and Tinder?

Maybe there was a bit of Veritaserum mixed in the coffee this Sunday because Ranveer was dropping one truth bomb after another.

With a body like Ranveer’s – and in no way is this meant to objectify him – anyone would sleep naked like the Bajirao actor confirmed.

Sadly, if you wish to find him on Tinder, then sorry ladies (and guys), because that will never happen. Singh is “not from the Tinder generation” but you may find Ranbir there, waiting to slide into your DMs.

Bromance is Real

The almost-namesakes were full of only compliments and love for each other. Kapoor feels that Singh is an actor who will only go up-and-up and has no limit to his potential.

He also said that Ranveer calls him up after each release that Kapoor has, only to compliment and make him believe that he will win the next national award.

Ranbir was also quick to fulfill many fantasies when he said he would put the two of them on the centre-fold of Playgirl magazine.

Heartbreaks and Celibacy

Ranbir is clearly in need of some loving as he made it amply clear during the show that he is single, feeling a little lonely and looking for the right woman. Karan even went on to say that Kapoor has been celibate for a year.

However, when Karan asked the two if they had even had their hearts broken, Ranveer said he had but Ranbir said he had not.
