Mumbai is all geared up to host its first ever Global Citizen Festival on 19 November. And while everyone is excited to finally have Coldplay perform in India, the festival also has an envious line-up boasting of Bollywood stars including Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Katrina Kaif among others.
To add to the musical variety, there is also AR Rahman and Arijit Singh as a part of the event. And for sports enthusiasts - there’s Sachin Tendulkar and Sakshi Malik as well. Phew!
It doesn’t end there. A string of international artistes including Jay Z, Frieda Pinto, and Demi Lovato are also going to perform at the event.
Here’s how the artistes are pledging their support to the global initiative to meet the sustainable development goals.
They have quashed all rumours floating about the concert being cancelled.
This is not Bollywood’s first tryst with Coldplay, though. Last year, the entire band had come to Mumbai to shoot a portion of their song, A Hymn For The Weekend. And they roped in Sonam Kapoor for it.
In June this year, Sonam Kapoor attended their concert in London and Alia Bhatt along with Deepika Padukone and filmmaker Shakun Batra also made it to Berlin for the band’s performance.

Alia also posted a video from the concert.
Fans at the concert posted this picture of the two divas together.
With so much love from B-town, you bet it’s going to be one helluva night in Mumbai on 19 November.
