At his victory speech on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the nation for the BJP’s stellar performance in the Assembly elections.
Addressing party workers at a felicitation programme organised in his honour, Modi said that the votes cast by the poor represent the idea of a “new India.”
Reiterating his promises from the 2014 General Elections, Modi said that BJP governments to be formed in different states will strive to work hard and imbibe a spirit of transparency in governance.
