Polling has concluded in 95 constituencies across India, in the second phase of elections, on Thursday, 18 April. The seven-phase voting will end on 19 May, and the results will be announced on 23 May.

Pre-Poll Violence Rocks Odisha: BJD Candidate Arrested
A BJD candidate was arrested for allegedly assaulting an EC magistrate, while OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik and another BJD nominee were among 11 persons injured as a series of violence rocked Odisha on Sunday, officials said.
Bombs were also hurled at a BJP assembly candidate's car though none was injured, police said on Monday, 22 April.

Polling Officer Killed in Chhattisgarh Accident
A polling officer were killed and five injured after the car they were travelling in met with an accident in Chhattisgarh’s Basantpur, earlier today. The polling party was travelling with EVMs for the third phase of polling to polling booth no. 51 of Balrampur.

Congress MLA Quits Party, Joins TRS in Telangana
In a fresh setback to the Congress in Telangana, another MLA announced his decision to quit the party and join the ruling TRS.
Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy met the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi's working president KT Rama Rao in Hyderabad, TRS sources said.
