Re-Poll Ordered at 5 Polling Stations in AP For Lok Sabha Elections

Re-election has been ordered at 5 polling stations in Andhra Pradesh for General Elections and at 3 of them for Assembly Elections as well. Voting took place at these stations on 11 April and fresh polling will be held on 6 May.

EC Issues Notice to Rahul Gandhi Over 'Tribal Can be Shot at' Remark

Election Commission has issued a notice to Congress President Rahul Gandhi seeking a reply within 48 hours, for allegedly violating model code of conduct by saying "Narendra Modi has made a new law in which there is a line that says tribals can be shot at", at a rally in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh.

EC Finds No Violation in PM Modi’s Latur Speech

The Election Commission on Wednesday gave a clean chit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his speech in Maharashtra's Latur, where he asked people to dedicate their votes for Pulwama martyrs and the Balakot airstrikes. The poll body said that there was no violation of the Model Code of Conduct.

EC Bars Pragya Thakur from Campaigning for 3 Days

The Election Commission has barred BJP Bhopal candidate Pragya Singh Thakur from campaigning for three days starting 6 am on 2 May.

Thakur's remark that she is proud of Babri Masjid's demolition was found in violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
