Ten constituencies in Maharashtra are going to polls in the second phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections on 18 April. To find out the public sentiment on ground, The Quint’s Chaupal reached the Beed constituency in the state.

While people in Beed seemed by and large supportive of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his schemes, young people in the constituency seemed to be worried about unemployment.

Speaking at the Chaupal, a farmer said that "farmers got Rs 2,000 in their bank accounts under PM Modi's rule. Congress never did that."

On being asked about PM Modi's influence on India's social fabric, one of the farmers said that "this government is much better than the earlier government."

As the poll date approaches, it promises to be an interesting election in Beed. Watch the full video here.
