If there’s one thing we did not expect to see from the stable of TVS this year, it was the concept of a ‘superbike that means business’. The TVS Akula 310 is the end product designed and created by TVS in association with BMW.
The name Akula has been inspired by the Akula-grade submarines which, in Russian, means shark. It is safe to say that the Akula 310 is a justifiable name as it sure looks like a predator.
What’s a bigger deal is that according to TVS, the production ready Akula 310, will have about 70 to 80 percent resemblance to the photo show above. If TVS manages to live up to its word, then Akula 310 could hit the market with a bang.
The digital dash of the Akula 310 looks much smaller than what we’ve seen with most of the super bikes this year. The front handle looks humongous with all the necessary features offered.
In the typical super bike fashion, the Akula 310 has got a huge lump in front of the seat that houses a big size fuel tank. The engine has been adequately covered for better handling in fast speeds. The TVS Akula 310 has been given a ultra light carbon fibre body work as per the company.
We’re definitely pumped to see this shark-like bike to hit the roads of India.
