The country is still struggling to fully recover from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to scrap Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. Those were among the two most widely circulated currencies that he axed.

Soon after Modi’s big announcement, Rs 2,000 was introduced. But to what avail? Who’s got the change of a Rs 2,000 note in Rs 100s?
