Aam aadmi ko kya chahiye? What do you think of the currency ban? We are inviting all of you to let us know what you think of Modi ji’s demonetisation policy.
And so, we stopped over in Delhi’s Connaught Place and chatted with a few Delhiwallas to get their take on the currency ban. Here’s what they had to say:
‘Black Money Hoarders Taken By Surprise’
Abhishek Agarwal, a student, says the sudden announcement of demonetisation was a good step, as it caught black money hoarders off-guard.
‘I’m Grateful To Modi Ji’
Surendra Kumar, an MNC employee, thanked Modi for introducing demonetisation, which, he feels, will curb money laundering. Only a few days of misery and then the 'acche din’ will follow, he says.
‘Demonetisation is A Great Step’
Neeraj, a businessman, also backed the move as he thinks it will help flush black money out of the system.
‘You Have Our Complete Support’
Aarti Agarwal, a housewife from New Delhi, is gung ho about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetisation call. According to her, the move will certainly have long-term benefits, which will help our economy.
‘Saddened By the News Of People Losing Their Lives’
Abhijeet Singh, a student residing in New Delhi, feels it was unfair of the Prime Minister to suddenly scrap the old Rs 500/Rs 1,000 notes and introduce new currency without any "clarification".
‘Note Ban Implemented At the Right Time’
Bharat Arora, a CA based in New Delhi, congratulates the Prime Minster on his policy, which has been taken “in interest of our country.” He agrees that people might be facing temporary issues but the note ban policy was implemented at the right time.
