COVID: Delhi Reports 2,779 New Cases, ECI Extends Ban on Rallies Till 11 Feb

With a drop in its caseload, India recorded 2,09,918 new COVID-19 infections and 959 deaths on Monday, 31 January, with the daily positivity rate at 15.77 percent.

Further, active cases currently stand at 18,31,268.

Meanwhile, the national capital (Delhi) reported 2,779 new cases, 38 deaths and 5,502 recoveries.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has, meanwhile, extended ban on rallies till 11 February.

Universities & Colleges in Chandigarh to Reopen With Adherence to COVID Protocol: Admin

Universities/Colleges and other institutes of higher education shall be allowed to reopen, with certain restrictions and adherence to all COVID-19 protocols, reported ANI, citing an order by Directorate of Higher Education Chandigarh Administration.

Further, all schools will start functioning physically in offline mode for classes 10 to 12 from 1 February. However, students will still have option to continue with the online mode for these classes as well.
