The 94-year-old actor was admitted on Wednesday night, but his condition was said to be stable. Saira Banu’s nephew, Rehan, had confirmed the news to The Quint.
Dilip Sahab is absolutely fine. We are in room ***3 in Lilavati. My aunt and I got him here at 12’o clock in the morning because he was dehydrated and had an urinary infection. He had to be administered a drip with the antibiotics in the hospital itself because being a heart patient, it’s not possible to do it at home. So that’s what happened and we brought him here and now in fact it’s under control and he is sitting and having his dinner on his own.Rehan, Saira Banu’s Nephew
The doctors also confirmed that there is no cause for concern.
There is no cause for concern. The major reason of his admission was dehydration, which simultaneously impacts other organs as well.Doctors at Lilavati
