Filmmaker Karan Johar has become a father to twins. He reportedly had the babies last month via surrogacy.
According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the 44-year-old Johar has a girl and a boy - and has named them Roohi and Yash. Yash is his late father’s name, and Roohi is a rearrangement of his mother’s name Hiroo.
Their names were registered on Friday at the BMC. A top BMC official has confirmed the news.
Congratulations!
Johar is not the first to have a child via IVF in Bollywood. Recently, Tusshar Kapoor became a single father to a boy, Lakkshya. Shah Rukh Khan too opted for surrogacy for his third child, AbRam. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao had their son, Azad Rao Khan, through IVF as well.
