Porsche has debuted the 718 series in India with the Cayman and Boxster starting from Rs 81.56 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The 718 series coupe and roadster variants are pegged as two-seater, mid-range sports cars, and going by the prices on display for a Porsche, there isn’t much we can argue with.
After its global launch last year, Porsche feels confident enough to roll out these models in the country, with demand setting new standards.
The 718 series is powered by a turbo-charged 2-litre engine that Porsche claims can zoom from 0-100 Kmph in 4.7 seconds. These sports cars offer 300 hp and maximum torque of 380 Nm with a top speed of 275 Km/hr.
As you might have figured out, the Cayman is the Coupe here, while the Boxster with its open-up avatar is the Roadster. Both the 718 variants offer multiple driving modes, and according to Porsche, the design upgrade is highly prominent.
