Dear India,
I strongly believe every Indian must be defined by his/her honesty rather than religion, race, or caste. It’s the honesty of a few people that always triumphs over corruption.
I am a doctor and our motto, especially for me, is ‘service to human is service to god’, without any expectation of name, fame and money. My biggest inspiration for honesty are my senior doctors who work for the poor in government hospitals. I am very thankful to them for doing such a noble deed.
I also want to work like them with pure honesty and show my patriotism by serving the underprivileged. I think, one is a bad Indian if you conduct unlawful activities like strikes, bandhs, etc.
You shouldn’t just aim at being a good Indian but an honest Indian as well. That’s the only way we can build a great nation.
Jai Hind,
Naresh Khatri
(Do you ever feel like talking to India? Yes, perfect. How about you write to her and tell her if you’re a good Indian or a bad Indian? You could be bitchy, angry, happy, emotional or spoofy. But if your answer is ‘No’– never mind, there is always a beginning. So let’s start here.
