Gulzar is almost at the finish line of his A Poem A Day project. This magnum opus aims at bringing the richness of India’s linguistic diversity to a wider audience. He has translated around 400 poems from different languages into Hindustani. The book is expected to be released early in 2018. “The publishers are in the process of getting permission, and it seems a much bigger task than the translation per se,” he says.
In this video, he recites his translation of a Telugu poem, exclusively in support of the ‘BOL- Love Your Bhasha’ campaign by The Quint.
