After a heavyweight endorsement from Erik Solheim, the Executive Director of UN Environment Programme, Ranvir Shorey’s upcoming film Kadvi Hawa has generated a lot of interest.
It is a story of a 70-year-old blind farmer, played by Sanjay Mishra, who has to deal with a loan recovery agent, played by Ranvir Shorey. Director Nila Madhab Panda has tried to raise the issues of climate change and farmer distress in the film.
The film has already made its presence felt strongly in the film-festival circuit, apart from getting a ‘special mention’ at the 64th National Film Awards earlier this year.
Watch this video as the lead actors and the director discuss, in lighter vein, the other “kadvi hawa” that afflicts all of humanity — farts!
