No lovemaking please we are Indian adults!

That’s what seems to define the Central Board of Certification’s (CBFC) mindset if one goes through the list of cuts that were made in the recently released Lipstick Under My Burkha.

After the CBFC technically “banned” the film, the makers approached the FCAT for a review and were forced to make the following “voluntary” cuts to get a... wait for it - “Adults Only” certificate.

There are a total of 27 cuts listed here, most of which are scenes which show a boy and a girl making love or kissing.

Quick Look at Cuts Made In Lipstick Under My Burkha

(Ummm... the grammar in the description of these cuts is courtesy CBFC)

Here’s the complete list of scenes that were chopped ahead of the film’s release. The “voluntary” cuts and other deletions ordered by the FCAT total to over 2 minutes of the film.

Lipstick Under My Burkha stars Konkana Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Aahana Kumra, and Plabita Borthakur.
