The three years that have gone into making the Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos, seem to have taken a toll on the nerves of everyone concerned. Apparently the producers (Disney) are walking on glass trying to remain calm as the release date (July 14) approaches.

But we hear that director Anurag Basu is not making it any easier for anyone involved. Apparently, he has so far refused to show the film to anyone and that includes its leading man Ranbir Kapoor and his family.

We also hear that Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor is livid over Anurag’s over-secretiveness. Apparently Rishi, who is known to blast his detractors first and think of the consequences later, has let it be known to all that he is not happy with Anurag’s extreme discreetness over Jagga Jasoos.

Both Anurag and Chintu ji are right in their own way. If Anurag doesn’t want to show the film to anybody before its release, that’s his prerogative. On the other hand, Chintu ji is also within his rights, as his son is a co-producer on Jagga Jasoos. And even if that wasn’t the case, he’s entitled to be anxious about his son’s career. Ranbir has not had a hit in a while.

Will the alleged deadlock between Rishi Kapoor and Anurag Basu reach a resolution?

At the moment, the deadlock between the two parties seems to be nowhere near a resolution. However, once the film releases, and if it becomes a success, all the ill-will will be washed away. But then again, will that be too late for damage control if Jagga Jasoos bombs at the box-office?
