After marking their debut in Hollywood around the same time, it looks like Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are going to be working on similar projects in Bollywood once again.
The duo will, reportedly, be working in two different films with two separate characters; but of the same book.
According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Vishal Bhardwaj have acquired rights for a film based on S Hussain Zaidi’s bestseller, Mafia Queens of Mumbai.
Vishal will be working on a film based on Zaidi’s account of Ashraf Khan, alias Sapna, whose only mission in life was to eliminate her husband’s killer, Dawood.
While, Sanjay is reportedly going to be producing a film based on the life of gangster Gangubai Kothewali, also known as ‘The Madame Of Kamathipura’.
A source informs,
Sanjay is as fascinated by Gangubai’s life as Vishal is by Ashraf Khan. The principal casting is crucial. Both the directors have other projects before taking on Zaidi’s women gangsters’ stories. Vishal has locked in Sanjay’s current favourite Deepika Padukone while Sanjay may sign Priyanka Chopra to play Gangubai.
