Rishi Kapoor slammed the new generation of actors via Twitter for not turning up to pay their last respects at veteran actor Vinod Khanna’s funeral on Thursday evening.
Khanna passed away at the age of 70 early on Thursday morning, after battling cancer.
Rishi Kapoor, who had starred in the super hit Amar Akbar Anthony alongside Vinod Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, complained that “not one actor” from the current generation of Bollywood, including the ones who have worked with him, attended Khanna’s funeral.
Disappointed and angry with the youngsters of Bollywood, Kapoor who is known for his straight-forward tweets, lamented that he has to be prepared for a similar fate when he dies.
Criticising the size of the crowd at an event thrown by Priyanka Chopra, he accused the young Bollywood actors of being disrespectful towards Vinod Khanna.
He also said that if his wife and Ranbir were not out of station, then they would have certainly paid their respects to the late legendary actor.
