A Yemeni family had an emotional reunion at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport on Sunday, days after US President Donald Trump’s travel ban was lifted.

US courts have suspended Trump’s ban on refugees and travelers from seven predominantly Muslim countries.

Abeusebur Jamar, a US citizen with origins in Yemen, had been working to bring his family to the US for almost two years. His wife Haifa and daughter Rueyah had the paperwork required to enter the US, but were temporarily stranded by the immigration ban.

They flew to Chicago to meet Jamar after the ban was stayed.

Yemen has been gripped by conflict since 2014. A Saudi-led coalition, backed by the United States, has been carrying out an air campaign against Iranian-backed Houthi rebels for nearly two years now.
