This is not a drill! Tom Hardy, Jude Law, James Franco, Pierce Brosnan and Idris Elba are coming soon to Zee Cafe in never before seen avatars. The best part is you’re not going to see them in two-hour movies but in five epic shows that have taken the world by storm as part of Zee Cafe’s special line-up called Hollywood on Cafe.

These are premiering for the first time on Indian television which means you’ll probably see them before anyone else. So get set to watch your favourite stars do super exciting things right in your drawing room.

Tom Hardy: In Taboo, Hardy plays James Delaney who returns to England after 12 years in Africa to inherit his father’s shipping empire in the 19th century. You will see him donning animal hide on a tattooed body while wielding a spear and also as a city slicker. Effortless transition much!

Jude Law: As a pope who defies every convention in the book, Law will surprise you with his turn in and as The Young Pope. Law is scheming and trippy and has even stripped for this role. Not that he hasn’t done this before, but you don’t quite expect this in a show based on a pope and that too by the on-screen pope himself. One moment he is bare and in the other, he’s in a papal robe. Quite risque, innit?

James Franco: Imagine walking into a closet and getting transported to the year 1960. That’s exactly what happens to James Franco in 11.22.63. But that’s not all. Franco has to travel back in time to prevent President John F Kennedy’s assassination. Does he succeed? We leave that for you to find out. If you’ve always fascinated time travel, here’s your turn to relive it, albeit virtually.

Pierce Brosnan: The Son features Pierce Brosnan a ruthless Texas cattle baron, who struggles to maintain the ranch and oil dynasty he has built in the turbulent days of early 20th Century America. Apart from the show itself, Brosnan’s badass style, suave demeanour and droolworthy looks are sure to keep you hooked on to the show. You may also end up learning a lesson or two on reverse-ageing.

Idris Elba: In Guerilla, Idris Elba plays Kentoro Abbasi, who helps a couple liberate a political prisoner even as they’re setting up a radical underground cell in 1970s London. Does everything go as expected or is there some nail-biting twist? Well, you’ll have to start watching the show for that!

We hope you’re already stocking up on the popcorn and fizzy drinks because Hollywood on Café airs every weeknight at 9pm. With your favourite actors on one cafe, not only is your daily binge watching sorted, you also won’t have to go to a movie theatre to get your fix of Hollywood.
