Watch This Buffalo Escape Death as Rival Lion Prides Fight Over It

A buffalo set to become a lion pride’s meal made a miraculous escape from death.

A buffalo which was set to become multiple lions’ meal made a miraculous escape from death – after the two prides of lions began fighting among themselves.

The video was captured by Mike Kirkman, a professional guide at Mala Mala Private Game Reserve in South Africa.

During a safari tour, he stumbled across two opposing prides of lions eyeing a herd of buffalos. The lioness of one pride pounced on a stray, struggling buffalo.

Just as the buffalo’s cries for help begin to dampen, the lioness from the rival pride hurtles into view. Hilariously, as the two lionesses claw each other in a bid to win the meal, the buffalo rose to its feet and staggered to safety.
