Meet Rajendra Raghunath Korde, a salon owner from Nashik who came up with an unique scheme to add to Bharatiya Janata Party’s membership drive.

Rajendra Raghunath Korde, the owner of Nanda Gents’ Parlour in Nashik offered salon services to those who help in adding new members to the party.

Korde ran schemes like free haircut for anyone who got five members, free facial for those who got 100 members and a free hair coloring for those who got 50 members enrolled to the party.

Korde claims to have added at least 850 members to the party through his scheme.

“I have been in the BJP for the last 25 years and am proud to see the party scale this height. So, I put up a board with the offers on March 18, the birthday of our state unit president and ran the scheme till end of March,” said Korde.

Prashant Jadhav, general secretary of BJP’s Nashik unit appreciated Korde’s effort.

He said, “Rajendra is a dedicated party worker. He came up with his own scheme to get more members for the party. We appreciate his efforts.”

The BJP had started a massive membership drive last November with a target of enrolling 10 crore members.
