"The players showed character every time India was under pressure,” Virat Kohli said on Monday summing up India’s 2-1 ODI series win against England.
The Indian skipper underscored the performance of Kedar Jadhav, who was named man of the series, and Hardik Pandya’s heroics with the bat and the ball.
Kohli also commended Mahendra Singh Dhoni and comeback man Yuvraj Singh’s contribution to the Indian team with their outstanding 256-run partnership in the second match at Cuttack.
Though India lost the third ODI by 5 runs to miss out on a whitewash, the Indian captain lauded the efforts of Pandya and Jadhav. The duo had stitched together a 104-run stand for the sixth wicket in the tie.
