A group of 150 priests are conducting an uninterrupted yagya at Mount Fuji to ‘calm’ the earthquake-prone zone in which Japan lies. The yagya will continue for nine days.
According to an Outlook report, the idea of the yagya came up during Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visit to Varanasi, where he had attended the Ganga Aarti along with PM Narendra Modi.
