In the wee hours of Wednesday, local villagers killed a tiger after it entered a poultry farm.

The tiger strayed into a poultry farm, attacked animals and also attacked two men. According to the forest official, locals killed the tiger in self defence.

Since the area is in close proximity to the Jim Corbett National Park, conflicts between man and animal are common. Residents have been living in constant fear of a man-eater who has killed nine people over the past few years.

It’s not yet confirmed whether this tiger is the man-eater.
