Summer is here and so are the challenges that come with it. Biggest of them all being heat. And if you are a car owner, sometimes driving becomes unbearable if your car’s interior is not cool enough. But, have no fear because Guruji is here. Here are some cool hacks to beat the heat and get the maximum output from your car’s AC in summer.
No 1
Firstly, your AC’s condenser needs to be clean. The condenser is situated right in front of the car, just behind the grill. So if you’ll pressure wash it then your car will get proper cooling. Also because that is the point of heat exchange for the AC.

Secondly, as soon as you sit inside the car, do not switch the AC to full mode. Put your AC on fresh air mode. Then ensure the fan speed is at its maximum and pull down the window glass so that the warm air escapes. After that, switch to re-circulation mode, lower the temperature and increase the fan speed of your AC. And, if your car has an air filter then clean it.
For example, in Mahindra Scorpio, the filter is situated behind the glove box. You can dismantle it. Just remove the cover and take out the filter. It is a paper-made filter and can be air cleaned. Cleaning it will improve your AC’s functionality.

If you do not have a sunroof and you have a large vehicle like a SUV, then what you need to do is shut one of the two front doors and pull down the glass. Now that has become an opening. And the door opposite has become a pump. Now all the hot air inside will be pumped out of the car if you fan the open door 3-4 times.
And if you have a big vehicle like an SUV or a hatchback and you want it to cool down even faster. then open all four doors and your boot door becomes a big pump. Open and shut it firmly. All the hot air inside will be pumped out.

In SUVs especially, the cabin space is so huge that one has to run the AC for hours to cool the interior. What to do? Well, get an air curtain which can be fixed behind the back seat. It’s a transparent plastic sheet that makes your cabin smaller. And as the cabin space reduces, the cooling improves.
One more thing.
You can get these rain visors which can be fixed on top of your car. As a result, you can keep your window open by one inch, and through that gap all the hot air inside will escape when the car is parked under the sun.
So we hope with the help of these tips you will have a very cool summer ahead and your AC will work brilliantly.
