Skydiver Jumps Off a Plane Without a Parachute

The plane that the skydiver leaped off from was 25,000 feet above the drop zone

Skydiver Luke Aikins became the first person to jump off a plane without a parachute and land safely. The skydiver jumped into a net on the ground.

I’ve been training for this for 2 years. My whole life has been dedicated to skydiving. The net is going to catch me like you catch a raw egg.

The plane was 25,000 feet above the drop zone. The diver was accompanied by four other skydivers to help Luke if something went wrong. The event that took place in Simi Valley, California was telecast live on television.
