Three years on, ghosts of the past still haunt parents of December 16 Delhi gangrape victim Nirbhaya.

The Quint spoke to them as they continue their fight for justice and demand that the face of the juvenile rapist, who will be released on December 15, must be shown to the world.

It’s been three years since his identity has been kept hidden from everyone and he will be released silently. Are we going to recognise him if he’s sitting next to us?

Nirbhaya’s mother breaks down as she poses some tough questions about why the rapist is being freed a day before her daughter’s death anniversary. Nirbhaya’s father also echoes the same sentiment.

We’ve appealed to the government that his photograph must be shown to the public so that they are aware of this criminal.
