Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter makes her big Bollywood debut with Kedarnath also starring Sushant Singh Rajput and directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The film hit theaters on 7 December and since then the audience have not stopped talking about the rising star, Sara Ali Khan. While the film made 7.25 cr on the opening day the critics have given the film mixed reviews.

But no one has failed to mention Sara’s performance and how she manages to steal the show. The Quint caught up with this new star in the block who just couldn’t help but blush after reading what people have to say about her. She even expressed her excitement of seeing herself on big screen.

While she is gushing over the good things she is also quite aware of the controversies surrounding the film. The release of the film Kedarnath is stalled in seven districts in Uttarakhand. The Hindi flick, with the 2013 flash floods in Kedarnath as the backdrop, shows a love story of a Muslim boy played by Sushant Singh Rajput and a Hindu girl played by Sara Ali Khan. Certain religious outfits have opposed the idea and they also alleged that it hurt Hindu sentiments and promoted the idea of "Love Jihad".

The actor when asked said that she firmly believes that the film talks about bringing people together. It talks about how religion and caste doesn't matter when the biggest things in life happen specially a natural catastrophe like the floods. But she also goes ahead and says she respects other people’s opinion who sees it differently.

If anybody has a problem with, what they think the film is promoting then I really apologies but I don’t think that’s the intention.
