Hi guys, as you all know. Week after week I review films. I tell you what’s good and what is absolutely trash. But seeing the multi-starrer Indian elections, I’ve realised the ugly truth – our actors are giving their career’s best performance as politicians. So much drama and acting, I tell you!

Their performance in their current role as politicians, has moved me to tears and this is why I have decided to rate them.

1. ‘A’ se Akshay Kumar

Number one has to be Akshay Kumar’s “a-political” interview. The only thing we frankly missed were haloes on both their heads. The sizzling chemistry between the two, eyes often locking, the synchronised nodding of the heads and their special interest in mangoes.

I give him 4.5 Quints out of 5! An extra Quint for getting rid of all things Kesari and making the brave choice of wearing salmon pink pants.

2. Shatrughan Sinha in Double Role

Next up we have Shatrughan Sinha. Not one to ever back out from a good fight, he is the only one who is showing us a great acting range with his ability to express varied emotions. From being a Modi-lover to saying ‘chowkidar chor hai’ , he has played the double role like few can.

For continuing to choose different kinds of roles he gets 4 Quints out of 5!

3. Versatile Navjot Singh Sidhu

Next we have cricketer-turned, commentator-turned, Kapil Sharma show’s resident thoko taali expert-turned, ex BJP leader turned, currently with Congress (God knows till when)... Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu. He has played roles and done more acting than many of our mainstream actors.

For his versatility and passionate performance, he gets 3 Quints out of 5!

4. ‘Forgetful’ Hema Malini

Hema ji forgot the work she had done in her own constituency Mathura. She was selling RO water ahead of elections but these days she has been found doing prachaar for her party. She is doing all her stunts herself without taking the help of a body double. From helicopter to tractor, for all this effort Hema Ji gets 4 Quints out of 5.

5. ‘Villainous’ Raj Babbar

Now while most actors have been trying to perform different kinds of roles, Raj Babbar seems to be stuck in his Insaf ka Tarazu’s villain avatar.

His comments about Mamata Banerjee are proof that he definitely is the best actor in a negative role! One would love to see some variety from you, sir. It’s getting quite monotonous! You get only 2 Quints out of 5.

6. Apne Sunny Paaji

Sunny Deol’s aggression has made even voters in his constituency wonder if he is fighting election or war. Last he was heard saying, “I know nothing about politics but I’m a patriot.” Following in his footsteps, a kid who couldn’t clear his class 12 exams said, “I know nothing about studies. But I’m a student.” Campaign se whether he will win elections one doesn’t know but inki har film ki tarhan opening toh yaha bhi sahi hai. Average 2.5 Quints.

7. Moon Moon Sen & Cuppa

But the best actress in a comic role is none other than Moon Moon Sen! “I don’t know. They gave me my bed tea very late and so I got up late. Aar ki bolbo.” It’s the panache with which she said these lines that makes her our favourite performer so far.
While stars are infamous for throwing tantrums she kept her cool and delivered her meme-worthy lines with the confidence of a seasoned performer. She gets all the 5 Quints!
