1. Nationwide Terror Crackdown Ahead of R-Day; 14 Nabbed

A nationwide operation conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) along with the local police of Karnataka, Telangana, and Mumbai has resulted in a crackdown on a suspected Islamic State (ISIS)-linked cell. Raids were conducted in Hyderabad, parts of Maharashtra, western UP, West Bengal and Assam.

2. Sunanda Pushkar May Have Died of Alprax or Lidocaine Overdose: FBI

An overdose of either anti-anxiety drug alprax or local anesthetic lidocaine may have caused Sunanda Pushkar’s death, according to a recent FBI report. Investigations on how these substances entered her body are underway.
