4. Pampore Encounter Ends, Three Terrorists Killed

The 48-hour fierce gun battle on the outskirts of Srinagar ended on Monday evening. Three heavily-armed terrorists, holed up in a government building situated along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway were killed.

5. MS Dhoni Injured in Training, Parthiv Patel Called in as Back-up

India ODI and T20 captain MS Dhoni has suffered a muscle spasm in the back during a training session on Monday in Dhaka. The BCCI’s official statement says Parthiv Patel has been called as the backup wicketkeeper for the Asia Cup. He last played a match in the India Blue in 2012.
