Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed a joint session of US Congress. and he nailed it like a boss. Modi got not one or two, but nine standing ovations as he addressed the session.
From “Land of Free and Brave” to invoking American Poet Walt Whitman, Modi struck all the right chords during his 45 minutes speech. He cashed in on the achievements of NRIs in US and spoke of how Mahatma Gandhi was the inspiration for the American civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr.
